1. Keep the home bright and airy with light furniture in colours of the coast - greys, white and and natural finishes are most definitely the favourites. 

2. Ensure the home is kept tidy and clutter free with plenty of storage furniture

3. Add some subtle coastal accessories such as driftwood, boats birds and shells. Beach combing is a great and fun way to gather together pieces of the coast. Keep it subtle - do not go overboard on the beach or coastal theme, this will appear tacky. Subtle pieces like signs or small beach themed accessories such as a small yacht, pieces of rope, or coastal home style lantern will be enough

4. Don't overcrowd the coastal home, if you are tight of space used smaller furniture pieces with lots of extra storage.

5. Brighten up darker corners with a table lamp. Allow Plenty of Light into your room - Adding white furniture to your room will instantly increase the amount of light reflected through the room creating an illusion of a great and airy space

A perfect affordable and stylish narrow hallway table

At The White Lighthouse we know space is at a premium in most homes and with hallways generally being long and narrow are often the hardest to decorate and furnish so we have sourced the Newport French Grey and Colonial White half moon tables.  

A great idea when space is at a premium in your hallway, entryway or living room. The shape of table, at 30 cm deep, does not protrude into the space of the room as much as a more regular rectangle table making it a very popular choice when decorating narrow and small hallway spaces.

We have decided to incorporate an affordable and stylish cream range of furniture to our collection... which we have named The Newbury

This is a small collection of storage furniture in a lovely soft cream colour, that will complement our usual interiors from coastal to New England, Country to Scandi

As you will see from the photos below we have three storage cabinets with drawers and cupboards as well as a storage bench.

These pieces are all design to be used in all rooms of the home including the hall, living room, bedroom and kitchen.

We all love a stylish living room, a room where we tend to spend most of our down time when at home and not sleeping.
We want it to look good and with most living rooms having a central coffee table we wanted to show you how to style it easily and affordably.

1. Our top tip is to group pieces of your favourite home decor together on a tray, this looks much more elegant than them simply placed all over the table.

2. Add two or three coffee table books, these can be books that you already love or you can treat yourself to the more popular books such as the large Tom Ford, classic Vanity Fair or elegant Chanel. We would suggest that the books you choose complement the colour scheme of your living room interior. TIP: Use old books and paint them with emulsion paint to match your decor

3. A candle or home diffuser will create a gorgeous smell and ambience. This looks stunning when placed on the coffee table books

4. Add a piece with some heigh, ensure all the items are not the same height.

5. Flowers or a plant beside the tray will finish your styling off beautifully
